r/shoujo · My problem is with shoujo romance and searching for recommendations.

I have a similar problem to you. In The Clear Moonlit Dusk and Fall In Love You False Angels didn’t work for me either (and tbh neither did the FLs, I just found everyone utterly hollow), but I loved Yona of the Dawn, Chihayafuru, House of the Sun, Nina The Starry Bride and so on. (Definitely go read Fruits Basket). I also noticed the above mentioned 2 titles are both Dessert Magazine works which are known for their low-stakes saccharine romances so maybe try some titles from other magazines. The rule of thumb that works for me are basically fantasy settings, stories with a bit more of a gimm

r/shoujo · LF shoujo/josei manga ML with tattoos/piercings/etc.

Fall in Love You False Angels! I was really surprised when the ML had a belly button piercing!

r/shoujo · I miss hard-headed shoujo girls
