He's short, weak, and has just transferred to a new school. Kurumatani Sora is the main character in this story who loves basketball. He has been shooting hoops ever since he was little and has been trying to grow tall just like his mother, who "used" to be a basketball player. What happened to her and what Sora will do at the new school is all up to you to find out!

r/manga · realistic underrated sports manga series?Haven't read it all the way through but I remember thinking that the first 100 chapters of Ahiru no Sora were super realistic. It's pretty popular in Japan but not that popular online or in America. The whole thing of, "let's create a sports team in a school that can't really support it" is usually offset by the characters haven't amazing abilities. I think they lost every single game in every chapter I read. I also really enjoyed Giant Killing and I'd say Ao Ashi is essentially Diamond no Ace just with soccer.
