Sitcom is a genre I keep trying to tell people manga can be.  Like, half of Rumiko Takahashi's works get classed as Romcoms when they're much better described as sitcoms. The comedy is derived from the situation that she puts the characters in and how they interact, so there can be no change to the status quo without changing the cast dynamic. It's a classic sitcom, whether it's about martial arts (Ranma), exorcism (Rinne) or the worst guy ever and the alien girl in love with him (Urusei Yatsura)
