r/Seinen · Any recs that are similar to theseHimizu, aku no hana, a girl on the shore, solanin, nijigahara holograph and no longer human (personally it's not as great as the novel but still good). Also homunculus.
r/Seinen · Looking for my first manga!Nausicaa. It's the manga that basically created Ghibli. Still Miyazaki's best work. It's only 7 volumes comes in a box set, so you could potentially bring the whole series with you. Other than that, a 1-2 volume series like Benkei in New York, Blue Spring, GoGo Monster, Nijigahara Holograph, Ode to Kirihito, Solanin, or Witches is easy to carry around.

r/Seinen · Any recs that are similar to theseRead the rest of Oshimi, especially Flowers of Evil and Inside Mari, but even his lesser works like Drifting Net Cafe are ok. Of course, read Asano’s other books, especially Nijigahara Holograph, At The End of The World and Before Dawn, some of his other short story collections (even Dedede). Boy’s Abyss gets hate, but I’m pretty sure you’d enjoy it (also, loads of fun). You could also try Sato Hirohisa series like Shigahime, Suzuki Just Wants A Quiet Life. I wouldn’t recommend Mother Parasyte cause it’s not finished and barely translated. Maybe also Zankyou by Tsutomu Takahashi.
r/Seinen · best mangas to damage my soulI’m a massive inio asano fan all of his stuff has scratched that deprave itch for me. I mean of course goodnight punpun is a great read but his other stuff is phenomenal too. Solanin is an overall good read, Nijigahara holograph is super underrated, a girl on the shore made me feel gross but you do get into the characters psyche. I’m about to read mujina into the deep which I’m excited about but can’t speak on yet. For mystery/thriller you can never go wrong with one of Naoki Urusawa’s works. I’ve read monster and 20CB so far and they were insanely good. Heard great things about Billy bat ju
