Black Butler

r/mangarecommendations · Looking for Recommendations: Loved xxxHOLiC and Pet Shop of Horrors

You might like Mushishi. Episodic supernatural stories, atmospheric and melancholic, but quieter than xxxHOLiC. Closest thing to that same itch. Ghost Hunt is worth checking out too if you want the case-structure of Pet Shop of Horrors with actual paranormal investigation arcs. Kuroshitsuji caught some flak for going off the rails, but the early volumes nail that ornate gothic shop-of-horrors feel. Natsume Yuujinchou is less dark but has the same gentle-yokai-of-the-week structure with a lonely protagonist.

Dragonball, especially at that age, which is also when i read it. Also black butler and Sakamoto days. Early one piece is nice too but imo wa no Kuni was utter dogshit and I didn't read any further
